MAAC Vashi, Panvel & MG Road Pune Host a Grand 22nd Edition of GRAVITY Awards 2025
Navi Mumbai, 9th December 2025
The 22nd edition of the GRAVITY Awards, one of Navi Mumbai’s most prominent 3D Animation and VFX showcases, concluded with resounding success on 9 December 2025. Organized annually by MAAC Vashi, Panvel & MG Road Pune, the event continues to uphold its legacy as a premier platform for young digital artists, animators, and content creators.
This year’s ceremony was held at the prestigious Vishnudas Bhave Auditorium and was inaugurated by key dignitaries from the animation and media education industry, including Prasad Vanarase (Director, Animax Studios India Pvt. Ltd.), Sanjay Khanted (Director, Animax Studios India Pvt. Ltd.), Sameer Shanischar (General Manager & Animation Mentor, MAAC), Poulomee Bondre (Assistant Vice President – Marketing, MAAC), and Lata Vyas (Cluster Head – MAAC Vashi, Panvel & MG Road Pune).
Over the last 22 years, GRAVITY has emerged as a benchmark event for aspiring artists across Navi Mumbai, offering experiential learning through exposure to real-world production environments. The platform enables students to understand end-to-end production pipelines, from ideation to output, mirroring processes followed in leading animation and VFX studios.
The 2025 edition featured a six-month in-house creative competition that invited students to produce original artworks across multiple verticals. More than 500 individual and group entries were received across categories including Sketching, Digital Painting, Matte Painting, Photography, Character Modeling, Motion Graphics, UI Design, Visual Effects, Vector Art, 3D Game Asset Design, and more. Students also showcased their performance talents during the ceremony.
Industry leaders and studio representatives evaluated the submissions, providing participants with an invaluable opportunity to gain professional exposure and mentorship. Winners were felicitated with trophies and certificates sponsored by Animax Studios India Pvt. Ltd.
